FARMINGTON, NEW YORK – October 30, 2025 – Leonard’s Express has been recognized as a “Top Company for Women to Work in Transportation” by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of Women In Trucking (WIT), for the fourth consecutive year. WIT’s mission is to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments, and minimize the obstacles they face.
There are many characteristics that distinguish companies recognized on this list including corporate cultures that foster gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities; and career advancement opportunities.

Identifying the companies on this list involves a two-step process. First, nominations of the companies are received and carefully reviewed to ensure they qualify by meeting a minimum threshold of qualifications. Then the final ballot of companies is voted on by individuals in the industry. This is the eighth year of this prestigious recognition program. It garnered more than 21,000 votes industry-wide to identify the final companies named to the list.
The Women in Trucking Association has recognized Leonard’s Express on multiple occasions in recent years. Earlier this year, company driver Sandy Winters was a finalist for WIT’s Driver of the Year award, the second Leonard’s Express driver to make the “final four” for this award. Multiple Leonard’s Express employees have also been named a Top Woman to Watch in Transportation by WIT.

These companies will be recognized at the upcoming WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo Nov. 9-12 in Dallas, TX.
